the commentary

Many people have wondered when Taylor would wear an 87 jersey at a game and I’m delighted that the moment has come in such a fashionably fun way courtesy of #KristinJuszczyk - wife of 49ers player Kyle Juszczyk - who has taken to repurposing old jerseys into fabulous custom coats like this one.

To opt for something creative and lovingly handmade has been a repeated approach in Taylor’s football spectator style that has been fun to observe. From vintage, local KC businesses, women-owned small businesses, or handmade items like this one. “It’s time we reinvent the jersey,” Kristin said to NBC. “All these people want to represent their favourite players so what better way to turn a jersey into a jacket” especially when temps plummet. As someone well aware and well versed with communicating through her style I love the intention she’s taken to highlight and carve a space for stylish game day pieces for women. Items that are fashion and function and fandom and football and and and.

As a uniform of their own, Taylor’s clothing choices were an intentional coordination with other WAGs in attendance - from a white hat, custom jackets, and an all black base that included a leather-esque pant and leather boots. (Editorial Note: Pictured are the similar 'Cindy’ style by Paige in the same black coating colourway.)

You may recall that Taylor wore the 'Waylon’ slides while heading to studio in NYC last May which feature the same buckle detail.

Taylor kicking off sub-zero WAG fashion all bundled up. I have to say the foresight to opt for Louboutin combat boots here are a comfy and also on-colour theme choice to sandwich style her custom jacket.
