the commentary

As expected, Taylor made an appearance at the Chiefs home game against the Raiders today in a more casual outfit than we’ve typically come to expect from Taylor’s “season two” game day fashion. A cozy half zip, black jeans, and black boots formed a cute and cozy base in Taylor’s go-to Chiefs-approved red and black colour palette.

From what I can tell, this is an older LV piece (circa the F/W 2023 collection). Meaning it’s possible she’s had this stashed away in her closet as a game day outfit option since last winter. Were that the case, that would make total sense to me as it aligns perfectly with her comfy cute casual style that was common last season. What elevates things here, of course, are her sparkly jewelry stacks.

I find myself a big fan of the warm, tonal shades present throughout this ‘fit. From the monogram patches to the bag plus, of course, that lip.

You might recall that Taylor previously wore these pants in January 2024 for the Chiefs game against the Dolphins. On that day, Taylor also bundled up a bit more against the elements in a custom ’87’ puffer by Kristin Juszczyk. Here, Taylor obviously keeps the black and red colour scheme going with a coordinating red quarter zip.

While much of Taylor’s outfit is casual (a cute colour-coded zip and skinny black denim feels like the game day version of “jeans and a going out top” in the best way, no?) the boots are not. The tall platform and chunky heel demand to take up space. In fact, I’d say they’re like a totally important game day designer.
